Scots roll their 'r's and say 'wee' to say small. Studies have shown they use 5 less vowel sounds then the English, so the words 'cot' and 'caught' should sound the same. Scots collapse words into as few syllables as possible and drop consonants. Also they replace 'not' with 'nee.' So 'didnee do anythin' in Ednbrah' to say "didn't do anything in Edinburgh."
